MANAGEMENT - Director of Operations (Dornier 228)

          • Job Description
            You will be responsible for the day-to-day directing and management of flight Operations under FAR Part 135/119 Regulations with immediate direction to guide the airline to FAR Part 121 operations.

          • Requirements
            Previous Director of Operations experience, in particular, experience in airline start-ups under 135 or 121 and what it takes to be successful. Good communication and organization skills with ability to compromise, yet have good negotiation skills when working with FAA. A good and comprehensive knowledge of required paperwork for managing the day-to-day operations of an airline.

            The ideal candidate will have good knowledge as to the capabilities and limitations of the Dornier 228 aircraft. Good management, communications and organization skills a must. A thorough understanding of FAA Part 135 and/or 121 Regulations. Computer literate with a mind-set for growth and potential opportunities in expanding an airline. Long-term commitment desired.

            ATP with a minimum of 3 years and 3,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on multi-engine aircraft, preferrably on the Dornier 228, Fairchild Metro II, MU-2, or combination of same aircraft for a Part 135 or 121 Airline. Type-Rated on the Dornier 228 with minimum of 500 hours PIC. Short runway, remote area and overwater experience a must.

            You will be in charge of crew training and the management of flight crews as described in our operations manual and as prescribed by the FAA under FAR Part 135/119 Regulations.

          • Requirements
            ATP with a minimum of 3 years and 3,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on multi-engine aircraft, preferrably on the Dornier 228, Fairchild Metro II, MU-2, or combination of same aircraft for a Part 135 or 121 Airline. Type-Rated on the Dornier 228 with minimum of 500 hours PIC. Short runway, remote area and overwater experience a must.

            The ideal candidate will be well versed with the capabilities and limitations of the Dornier 228 aircraft. Organized teaching techniques with a good sense of humor. A thorough understanding of FAA Part 135 Regulations. Computer literate with a mind-set for growth and potential opportunities in expanding an airline. Previous Chief Pilot experience a plus. Long-term commitment desired.

        • Requirements
          ATP with a minimum of 1 1/2 years and 1,500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on multi-engine aircraft, preferrably on the Dornier 228, Fairchild Metro II, MU-2, or combination of same aircraft for a Part 135 or 121 Airline. Type-Rated on the Dornier 228 with minimum of 250 hours PIC. Short runway, remote area and overwater experience a must.

          The ideal candidate will be well versed with the capabilities and limitations of the Dornier 228 aircraft and a good understanding of FAA Part 135 Regulations. Computer literate, good sense of humor with a mind-set for growth. Long-term commitment desired.

MECHANICS - Line Mechanic

        • Job Description
          You will be key to maintaining Inter Island Air's fleet of Dornier 228 and Twin Commander 680FL aircraft at Inter Island Air's new Maintenance Hangar facility at Pago Pago International Airport. You will ensure that all aircraft are maintained and serviced under FAA Part 135 regulations.

        • Requirements
          You will posses an A&P and a minimum of 2-3 years recent experience on Garrett TPE-331-5/10 engines. Further experience with recips such as Lycoming GSO-480 or IGSO-540 and aircrafts such as Twin Commander 680 series a plus. Good work ethics and sense of humor. Previous experience working for a Part 135 or 121 operator maintaining multiple aircrafts a plus.
